At the LA84 Summit, Simril will share the results of a Los Angeles County Youth Sports Participation Survey. The audit is the first of its kind to analyze youth sports participation rates, training programs for coaches, availability of sports facilities, sports organizations and potential resources for the advancement of youth sports at a local level.
Also during the LA84 Summit, speakers will lead conversations around the theme Playing Forward. Topics include the youth sports dropout problem, girls in sports, resource equity, the impact the Olympics and other major sports events on youth sports, and tangible ways the community can work to level and elevate the field of youth sports.
