Water Polo, Synchronized Swimming Athletes Compete at Summer Swim
Hundreds of young water polo players and synchronized swimmers took to the pool Sunday, competing in the 2016 Summer Swim Festival at Splash! La Mirada Aquatics Center. Teams from Los Angeles County took part in the all-day event, which is the final part of LA84’s Summer Swim program, which has provided instruction and opportunities for youth across Southern California since 1986. The young athletes channeled the Olympic values of excellence and friendship throughout the day, including a thrilling shootout in the U14 Water Polo Division Final between Glendale and Echo Pool as well as the synchronized swimming team from Carson’s captivating routine to the tune of Paramore’s “Ain’t It Fun” to close out the day.
