LA84 President & CEO Simril Honored for Making Difference in Los Angeles
The LA84 Foundation prides itself on being a champion for equality, and the mission starts from the top down.
The Brotherhood Crusade honored LA84 President & CEO Renata Simril at their ‘Women Making a Difference in L.A.’ Reception Tuesday night. An organization committed to aiding and improving the lives of those in need in South Los Angeles, Brotherhood Crusade celebrated Simril and two fellow honorees for their commitment to improving the lives of the under-represented individuals they serve.
“I was honored to be recognized by the Brotherhood Crusade,” Simril said. “We at LA84 will continue to do great work and inspire the next generation of leaders.”
The other two women honored by the Brotherhood Crusade were Catrice Monson, Senior VP of Diversity and Inclusion for CBS, and April Verrett, Provisional Officer for the Service Employees International Union Local 2015 branch in Fresno, Calif.
The Brotherhood Crusade, whom LA84 has worked with to provide at-risk youth opportunities to play sports, runs free or low-cost afterschool and summer sports programs for youth in their communities.
