LA84’s Jeremy Rosenberg Speaks at Los Angeles Breakfast Club
On Wednesday morning at the venerable and irreverent Los Angeles Breakfast Club, located at Friendship Auditorium within Los Angeles’ Griffith Park, the City of Angels’ Olympic heritage and future was on full display. In a 50-minute presentation titled “Los Angeles: The Olympic City” and given by Jeremy Rosenberg, LA84 Vice President, Marketing & Communications, the club’s audience viewed three short videos about the LA84 Foundation, the organization’s SAMbassadors youth advisory council program, and a recent FOX11 News feature by legendary journalist Hal Eisner.
Rosenberg then discussed with the crowd more about what LA84 does; the history of Los Angeles’ 1932 and 1984 Olympic Games; and the exciting possibility of the 2024 Games coming back to Los Angeles. Audience members offered up a range of questions, comments and observations about their own experiences during the 1984 Games. One attendee brought her 1984 Olympic pennant and unrolled it for the crowd to see.
The Los Angeles Breakfast Club has been active since 1925, and meets Wednesdays at 7am for a meal and a speaker.
