SUMMER SPLASH

The LA84 Summer Splash program uses public pools to provide swim lessons that save lives and introduce LA youngsters to aquatic sports. In 2021, we are taking the necessary steps to ensure the safety of youth during the current health crisis.

About Summer Splash

The LA84 Foundation’s priority is always the health and wellbeing of kids in the communities we support throughout Southern California. We understand the rapidly evolving situation with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak causes serious and significant challenges in providing youth aquatics programs and services for kids, and the impacts of this outbreak extend to staff and coaches at each of your agencies. Many of you have communicated to us the uncertainty of your summer aquatics programming due to current state and local public health guidelines.

Because of this, we have made the difficult decision to suspend support for youth aquatics programming this summer. As a result, the Foundation will not be making any grants for the Summer Splash 2020 season.

We value your partnership and appreciate your understanding as we take the necessary steps to ensure the safety of youth during the current crisis. As we look ahead in the upcoming months, we know it will be crucial for youth to experience the transformative power of sport.
